It is up to the player to prepare them and take them through a series of dungeons and defeat various creatures and obtain priceless treasures. The game revolves around the player leading a party of four adventurers, each having their own class and unique characteristics and abilities. The game was created by Red Hook Studios in collaboration with Sickhead Games and released way back in February 2015 to positive reception by both fans and critics alike. Darkest Dungeon is a roguelike set in a Lovecraftian universe that perfectly mixes turn-based combat, fantasy RPG elements, and survival horror.
